Houston radio icon Madd Hatta spoke to Texas Southern University students about what it takes to make it in the broadcast business today.
@therealmaddhatta, who is the content director at the Vibe, KTSU’s digital station, is also a record producer and rapper.
Madd Hatta, whose real name is Benjamin Thompson, started “The Madd Hatta Morning Show on KBXX, 97.9, The Box. He began his iconic career there in 1995, and as they say, “the rest is history.”
His highly rated show was lauded all across the nation. He’s interviewed some of the most celebrated entertainers in the world. He has often appeared on local and national media programs to give insight into the music industry.
Madd Hatta is also the product of an HBCU, N.C. A&T State University.
Students were thrilled to listen to his sage words.
