Texas Southern University‘s Recreation Center held Pink Out Day recently aimed at educating students of the deadly effects of breast cancer.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The organizers of the TSU event included games and other activities to educate students about breast cancer.
“Black women are 40% more likely to die of breast cancer than white women and are twice as likely to die if they are over 50,” according to the American Cancer Society.
Journalism major Briana Williams attended the event and took photos.
