If you are a curvaceous, full-figured woman at Texas Southern University, there’s a group of women on campus that want your voices to be heard.

Curvy Culture is recruiting new members, and candidates to fill their E-Board positions.

“We currently have the vice president, secretary and membership chair positions available,” Curvy Culture president Itivere Enaohwo said.

Curvy Culture encourages women to love every part of their bodies and to not see their curves as flaws.

“Curvy Culture’s purpose is to get young women out into the school environment, meet new people, learn their insecurities and overpower their insecurities,” Enaohwo said. “We do a lot of volunteer work so if you’re trying to spruce up your resume with volunteer work, we got you on that”

All applicants must be full-time students at TSU with a minimum 2.5 GPA.

Members are expected to practice body positivity, participate in hosted events and community service events.

There is a $35 application fee, and all applications must be received by Monday Aug. 23rd at 12 p.m.
