Houston based black-owned pharmacy hosts 3rd annual holiday celebration in efforts to raise funds for local HBCU students studying medicine

As a Texas Southern University (TSU) Grad, We Care Rx Pharmacy owner, Dr. Brandy Williams, understands the struggle of long days and nights studying, searching, pleading, and applying for funding to purchase reading materials and items needed to get through the pharmacology program. Recently contributing $100,000 to TSU’s pharmacy program, Williams’ plans to continue these efforts through her annual Holiday Celebration set to take place, December 3 at The Dukessa located in Houston.

The holiday celebration will be a time for We Care Rx to mix and mingle with clients, colleagues, family and friends over lite bites, cocktails and a good time. Guests will be able to chat one on one with Dr. Williams as she extends thank you’s for a great year of business.

The scholarship gala follows behind great community efforts Dr. Williams and the We Care Rx staff have completed this year such as their Men’s Health & Wellness Clinic, educating men young and old on prostate cancer and other health conditions threatening minority men, and also her Medicine Monday segments live on instagram, where she chats with her audience about different hot topics in medicine and tips on symptoms and types of physicians to seek.
