Houston, Texas— Megan Thee Stallion added another title to her stage persona as she graduated from Texas Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration on Dec. 11 as a member of the 2021 winter graduating class.

To commemorate Megan’s approaching graduation, Twitter Music has launched a new set of emojis with the hashtags # HottieGraduation, # MeganTheeGraduate, and many others, urging all Hotties to “turn up HTX style” this weekend.

Megan was one of 843 graduates who crossed the stage on Saturday. The winter commencement was live-streamed, allowing Hotties to witness her most recent accomplishment in real-time. Hours before the event began, the Houston musician shared a tweet to fans with a link to the webcast.

The three-time Grammy Award winner confessed to being “so nervous” as she made her way to the ceremony among her classmates. However, the jitters subsided as her name was called for TSU President Dr. Crumpton-Young to present her with her latest achievement.

Last year, the Houston native told PEOPLE that her late mother was the ultimate inspiration for her to finish her college career.

“I want my big mama to be proud. She saw me going to school before she passed,” Megan said. “My grandmother that’s still alive used to be a teacher, so she’s on my butt about finishing school. I’m doing it for me, but I’m also doing it for the women in my family who made me who I am today.”

Along with graduating from TSU’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, the Houston Hottie is set to receive the 18th Congressional District’s Humanitarian Award Sunday, 12, as US Representative Sheila Jackson Lee said during the winter commencement.

Some of Megan’s Hotties got a chance to meet her at an exclusive event held at KTSUFM after the graduation ceremony. KTSU2News’ Jonah Baker captured the special moment between Megan and her fans.
