Houston- Texas Southern University’s Career and Professional Development Center has a database filled with scholarships and jobs for TSU students.

Here are a few of this week’s highlights:

FBI Student Programs

The nation’s top law enforcement and intelligence organization offers valuable work experience for students at every education level. The FBI offers a variety of programs, internships, and entry-level career options. The organization also offers programs designed to give current students and recent graduates an experience like no other. Clink the link below to learn more.

Ascend Informational

The Ascend program was developed to assist underrepresented young African American and Latinx collegiate talent to “ascend” while developing them through mentoring and coaching for any profession. Sophomore and higher students will attend a complimentary virtual 12-week program that is designed to prepare them for the workforce. Apple HBCU Scholar Program

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund in partnership with Apple is presenting a $15,000 merit-based scholarship along with a 12-week internship during the summer of 2022 to outstanding technically focused students attending a Historically Black College or University. Eligible students should be currently working towards a degree in an undergraduate, Masters, Law, or PH.D program.

Each scholar will be assinged an Apple mentor throughout their experience, receive an opportunity to develop key skills, enhance their resumes, and help launch their careers through the hands-on experience gained at on of the top tech companies in the world.

Program Criteria

  • Enrolled full-time at a four-year accredited HBCU
  • Graduating between December 2022 and May 2024 (e.g. graduate students, Law or PhD. program, or undergraduate sophomores, juniors, or seniors pursuing a fifth year of study.)
  • Prior internship, leadership, and/or team projects experience is preferred
